Part Two Sunday Travel 1/31

Pilgrim was inspected for tics. And passed the physical examination at the gate.

Dan was weak and had no stamina.

Traveling is not like staying home, where everything is at your fingertips. In first class the male attendent Jeremy was Amazing; respectful, eager, courteous, and empathetic somehow.

He served breakfast to us
A POG Mimosa
Fruit Plate of strawberries and sliced grapefruit
Danish
A choice of the scrambled eggs with a cheese blintz,  pineapple compote and smoked sausage or the scrambled with shrimp and chives and roast potatoes.

Then Dan slept three hours while I read.

We were awakened by the offer of snacks: we chose the banana and smoked almonds then recieved a warm cup of mixed nuts. Dan stayed hydrated as well.

Lunch in Honolulu went well at Stinger Rays. A BLT for Dan and the quinoa salad for me. We shared.

The rolling suitcase Dan bought this week was a huge improvement from the duffle bag he usually slogs.

We started slowing fatigue after landing in Lihue. We were up at 4:00 and landed about 2:00 PST. 12 here.

We rode to the wrong rental car agency.

Arriving at The Cliffs,  our room wasn't ready.

(Pilgrim though prfect was hungry and patient just the same.)

We needed to unpack but Dan urgently needed to sleep.

There was a craft fairin the pavilion so only one chair was available. Dan rested there.

I fed Pilgrim who was pulling me gently towards room 4105 which we stayed in last year!

We finally were able to get the key cards.
Dan went to bed just as a good rain shower came in and I unpacked. Urgently I texted Ed and Marilyn our grocery list. We needed to eat but the cupboard was bare! They
were just arriving.

When Dan awoke we went to greet them in 4210. Marilyn and I decided to go for groceries. Ed has sciatica and the three men stayed behind.
